    Wondering how long chickens live. I have 2 RIR, 2 Australorps, 2 White Leghorns, 2 mixes (of americana, and something else), and a cochin mix rooster..and a barred rock hen, who I think is older. Also when do they stop laying? I heard the average is 2-3yrs old, is this correct?
