Here are some more photos. I'd rather not remove the nesting boxes. I just don't have the time at the moment to reconstruct. Hoping they won't be too bothered if I put the roost bar below the nesting boxes. Thinking of maybe adding a vent right into the part of the roof that's within the run?

Any advice on how to ventilate and where the roost bar should go?? Bought this coop used, and there was zero ventilation. For whatever reason the person who built it raised the nesting boxes. 🤷🏻♀️ I know ideally the roosting bar should be above the nesting boxes but if I do that then my ladies...
I planned on make alterations to the lock and making it more predator proof. Do you have a photo of an example of what a good coop/run looks like for 4 hens you could share?
It would differ day to day. I don’t want to give them complete free range in fear of hawks, dogs..etc. I’m in the suburbs, not rural. So I’m more cautious.
Hey all!
I’m a new chicken mama with 4 eight week old Easter Eggers. I’m hoping to pick up their new coop tomorrow from my local Tractor Supply. What do you guys think? I’ll also have a separate, larger mobile run that I’ll put them in from time to time and move them around my yard so they can...
I have 4 Easter Eggers. This is the coop I’m leaning towards from Tractor Supply. I will have another separate, larger run as well that will be mobile that I’ll put them in from time to time to forage.
Good idea! Yeah I can’t imagine having that warmth attached to me and it being in the 60s. Any clue as to what they’ll do or act like if they’re too cold or not comfortable in 30 degree weather? Lol
I don’t have my coop yet but I’ll be sure to share pictures when I do. I live in central NJ. So all 4 seasons. Is hot and humid in summers, cold and snowing in winter and everything in between.
I plan on getting a coop with an attached run that has a roof. The coop/run will be in an area of the...
Hi! Thank you for all the helpful info!

I got my chicks when they were 3 days old from...
