    You were Right! She she just laid an egg on me and it’s speckled dark brown. I hope they stay this way but I know they can change/lighten up/lose speckles.

    This was very helpful! Thank you. I may have to try the pelvic bone measurement because these vents are starting to blend together and look the same for a few of my gals. Haha I was hoping someone would be able to spot a for sure indicator I’m not experienced enough to see 😅

    Thanks for this info! She’s from mt healthy hatchery and unfortunately I only have their word to go by. Excuse my very beginner question (I’m also a super curious person) but is there any way her comb is from her maran genes?
