No it wasn't. We had another one hatch a few days earlier and it is doing well. Thank god.
There's little hope for it then-sorry. And I'm glad the children didn't accidentally hurt the chick; that would have been horrible for them.
It turned in a sad day after being a very exciting day. We buried it. I feel horrible.

I noticed the yold was not absorbed fully. The hatching was not normal. I made a mistake and moved it out of the incubator into a box with no humidity when I noticed the first pip.
This chick hatched earlier today and few hours later my kids screamed that it was bleeding and then I saw what appears to be a piece of its intestines sticking out of it. Anyone out there knows what I should do or is this one not going to make it? Thank you
I had 3 eggs hatched on day 21 but 2 didn't so I thought it's time to open and see what happened. So I cracked open the air cell on one the eggs and I found the membrane still intact. There is lots of movement but no noise. Does this baby still have a chance?
