Hey everyone, I wanted to give an update. Baby chick is definitely a boy, and now looks to be blue laced red wyandotte cross (very pretty!!). Thanks everyone, for your help!! :)

Thank you all!! I kind of think he's a boy too, although sometimes she looks a lot like a pullet. I'll post some more photos in a couple of weeks. Thank you all so much!! :)

Hello! Nice to meet you :) Not sure as to breeds...we have a motley crew of mixed breeds right now.

I hope you're right!! We incubated the eggs, which we were gifted from our local feed store. They have about thirty chickens, of every imaginable breed, so I don't know anything about mom or dad. A bit of a mystery... :)

Hello! My family and I live in SW Colorado and have 8 chickens. I grew up with chickens and am so happy to have some again. Thanks for welcoming me to this community; it is so nice to have these forums as a resource! Ameryn

Any idea as to gender? It's a mixed breed chicken (EE?), almost 2 months old. It was the fastest to feather out and had very even coloring (made me think pullet). However, it also has big legs and a fairly pinkish (although not large) comb and definite wattles. He/she is now getting reddish...
