    They both don't have spurs or nails to speak of. One is still young and the other one got into a fight with another roo earlier this spring lost them. I am just wondering why this specific one is so damaged all my other girls look great.

    She isn't being picked on from what I can see and I haven't seen her pulling them out. She is high on the pecking order. I do have roosters but I have a well balanced roo hen ratio. The missing feathers look the same on both sides of her. No signs of mites, skin is intact, vent clean, acting normal.

    What gender are these 6 week old chicks?

    Hi! I have 5 six week old Barred Rock chicks. Is there any chance these could be pullets or are they all roos?
