I was able to get a Steele Egger chick. I ordered my chicks in December, however, as I know it's difficult to get all the breeds I want on the same hatching day each spring! I obviously don't know much about this breed, but I'm looking forward to seeing how she develops!
We did finally find a new home for him! Whew! He was beautiful!! Of course, now we have a hen who thinks she is the rooster and keeps everyone in line by force now!

Four and a half month old beautiful light Brahma rooster needs a new home. Ordered all pullets, but this one turned out to be a cockerel. Very calm and sweet. Will eat out of your hand if you let him. We just don't want a rooster in our flock.

My beautiful light brahma is supposed to be a pullet, but s/he has started "crowing" lately and so I'm wondering if maybe s/he is going to be a "roo" instead of a hen? I read several places about looking at the feathers in the hackles and saddle areas, but I could make the argument either way...
