    Leg mites?

    Leg mites? Both of my Brahmas look like this. Foot soaks and petroleum jelly for the girls and then can I use permethrin 10 outside while I have a cat inside? Or should I use elector PSP? Does that cause egg withdraw?

    Preventative sprays?

    Saw this at the poultry aisle.. has anyone used this or any other preventative spray for mites and lice? It’s said to be natural from herbs, can be sprayed directly on the chickens if desired and has no egg withdraw🤔 Not 100% convinced on using DE or the famous Saturday lime

    Weed killer

    Planning to spray the yard with Spectracide weed killer, but hesitant. My chickens currently don’t free range, and likely won’t free range for another month or two since they are still little and we are all still getting used to each other. If I spray now (while they are put away in their coop)...

    Yes the previous owners made the coop with chicken wire and were in the process of adding hardwire cloth to it! In the mean time we are making sure our dog is always out watching the girls 😊

    New chicken mom! Bought my first house which also came with coop so we decided to try it out! I’ve done my research and been part of online workshops, but still learning!

    Help! New chicken mom… I think it’s just a few small cuts and not pest related but please correct me if I’m wrong. Should I let it be or do a warm water soak, add neosporin and wrap? She doesn’t show any signs of pain, lethargy, or stress.
