    I have a flock of 45 chickens and 10 guineas. I was looking at buying 5 more chickens that are 4 months old. they are vaccinated against mareks and cocci.     ameraucana hen and barred roo

    Has anyone crossed an ameraucana hen and barred rooster? or ameraucana and a Dominique rooster? what were the eggs like if you did? and were they good layers? I am debating if I should incubate some. I also have a Maran rooster but he doesn't go after the Ameraucans.

    Question re: Meat bird products?

    we just did our second round if meat birds at my house. I never thought I would be able to do it but it didn't bother me at all. I have over 50 pet chickens and I have always said they have such personalities. the meat birds were different. they don't care about you...they just want their food...

    thats true because the other signs are all fox..it looked like a pillow exploded and no body of the others but this one just the head gone...well now that I know something is learking I can do something to better protect the rest

    my only thing is I think its a ground predator just because it took 3 within 8 hours all in the same area. only the one body was found the rest was just feathers

    do they attack during the day also? whatever it was it got 3 but only left the one body

    my first thought was a racoon but I wasn't sure because it got 3 and I thought a fox would take the body?

    Tonight I went to lock up and realized 3 of my guineas were missing..I searched the woods and found 2 piles of feathers (one small and one large) and near the pile I found a body..head missing and it looks like a clean cut. any ideas what it could have been? (edit to add..this was a daytime...
