hi everyone! I acquired a copper maran hen yesterday. She has severe sour/impacted crop. I'm thinking it's both but I'm not sure. This is the first time I deal with this. I've read that some people give monostat. Which kind should I give, as there are several to choose from. And is there a good...
Hi everyone, I have a chick that will be a week old tomorrow. She has 2 slipped tendons. I've tried wrapping, splinting, chick chair... She's still eating and drinking and pooping. She is unable to walk and all except on her hocks. The joints are very swollen and her legs will only stay bent...
Hi everyone!
I have a 3 day old chick that won't eat or poop. I see her drink occasionally. They have electrolytes in their water, the tank they're in is at 93 degrees other side is about 80-85. I've tried giving her raw yolk and honey but she barely takes it. And she's constantly under the...
Good morning everyone! Little Lucky is still going! I'm sure being in the chick chair isn't fun. I'm still giving her water from a dropper but I believe she's drinking bc her little bowl of water looks like it's gone down when I go check on her. Does anyone know what I can do for her as far as...
I really appreciate your help! I was so nervous to unwrap her so many time bc I didn't want to do anymore damage. That little chick just does not keep still! Lol! I didn't want to bend her leg again to cause anymore pain. Hopefully she can recover now. Thank you for your help!
Here's little Lucky in her chick chair. Hopefully she'll live up to her name! And then with her (I'm pretty sure he's a male) brother in the mini brooder/chick ICU. He just hatched yesterday evening I'm waiting for him to walk a little better before putting him with my other chicks.

So after googling for hours I finally found this. I'm definitely dealing with slipped tendons. ☹️ I wish I would have found this sooner to help her better. I made her a...
I did a little bit more searching she has slipped tendons in both of her legs. Is there any way to recover from that for a chick? I feel so bad for her. I've been using a dropper to give her water. I'm going to try to make a thin paste with some chick feed and water to give to her later.
