no probs
My old girl has slept outside of the house(still in the run) on a ladder all weathers she’s tough as boots
I didn’t want my two new additions copying her hence the new built house
In the colder months I will add the bits that cover the mesh making it more cost
Cheers
Hi mate
Yep I totally get that
It’s just quite funny that my last attempt was not vented enough too dark etc etc
Now it’s too draughty etc
I live in uk
Foxes defo not a prob in my garden
In the winter I will cover the meshed areas to stop the draughts
Thanks for your input
Above is the run I built
The new coop sits inside the run
In 10 years of having chickens I have never had a problem with foxesi like it anyway
Too many people on here just picking faults
I have guttering on the back of the run taking the water into the raised beds behind the coop
Ok so my last attempt was pants!!!
Lots of nice comments but lots of
It’s too small
It’s too dark
Not enough ventilation etc etc
I have started again and come up with this beauty
Hopefully will meet my 3 girls requirements!!
First pic is attempt 1
Next pics are my new one
So before I dismantle and start again here are the pics of the inside
I have been told it’s too small too narrow too dark etc
It’s for 2-3 birds
The ramp leads up to the nesting box
What’s your thoughts please
hi the old bird has always been on the ladder
The house I made is new for the new chickens
The size is 51 inch by 21 inch
There is enough room to pass
As I made a little ramp to get to the internal nesting box
Hi
You can just about see the perch just inside the entrance
It’s not on the floor is is about 10 inches off the floor and they have plenty of headroom to
Underneath the perch is a pull out tray so I can clean easy and the nesting box is at the far end of the coop with the two love hearts cut...
What a great reply
I have 2 new birds who the house was made for and one 4 yr old who sleeps on the big ladder and always has
I guess I will make a better ladder or ramp leading upto the opening
And make more cut outs for more light
When I see these eglu
