    I just have rheas but am now seeing your post. Keep asking and searching for your issue and keep pushing it. This forum and a couple Facebook groups are the best ways to make contact with others raising emus as well as high odds of running into someone who has also had your specific issue.

    Here is a message on soy issues in the diet for ratites, I'm trying to find the actual source to cite so take it with a grain of salt, but I have seen some folks saying they've had issues with soy in the diet

    30 years ago we did a 3 year study of rations and found one problem; soy. Soy causes up to 10% chick leg and development deformity and defect. When breeders removed soy, leg splay, slipped tendons, Wry neck and other chick issues during incubation or brooding almost disappeared. Removed from the PARENTS diet. If you care for your birds, find another protein source.
