    So Im raising meat birds for the first time. Rainbow rangers. Ive noticed a good layer of yellow fat protecting their organs when we harvested them. Dont laugh! Can you eat/use that fat? Or does it taste like the stinky insides its been resting against?

    I lost two the same way, right up against the fence, heads gone. We kept watch and it turned out to be a raccoon. He had an unfortunate run in with a 12 gauge and hasnt been a problem.

    I toss them into the yard by the handful when they free range. They come running out of seemingly nowhere and make mad grabs for berries, chasing around the lucky winners trying to steal a taste.
