A bit of an update. The joints are tough now, but she can still bend them somewhat. They haven't grown in size, and she doesn't limp or flinch when I touch it.
The stuff under her scales, however, are apparently feathers. Not sure why they're growing there, though.
The only thing I could find...
Alright! I'll keep an eye on that. I saw on the article that one of the signs of a crop disorder is loss of appetite, which she definitely doesn't have lol. If she is sick, she's hiding it very well. Other than the one toe, she seems to be eating and running around like normal.
I will note that...
I just went out there today and saw her throw up. It was entirely liquidy, no foul smell and mostly clear
I'm changing their water right now and giving them some fresh
I checked on it again today and it looks worse
The scales are lifted up a bit and kind of soft, so my guess now is mites. The bottom of her foot looks fine and is just covered in dirt at the moment. The top looks like it has some dry, hard scales poking out of it. It's also much more swollen...
And it's a bit unfocused but I got a picture of the bottom of her foot
I don't think it's swollen because the bottom is still soft like normal, and they're just slightly pink
The bees have a give as well. When my mom showed me the picture of it, I thought it was just a swarm but no, so I guess they've been there for at most a week
Alright
Just got off work so it's too dark right now, but I'll try to get a picture in the morning
Also gotta be careful because I just found out today that some bees decided to move in near the coop (not on it, but close by)
With that, now it makes me wonder if it's a bee sting. I looked up...
I've noticed yesterday that one of my hen's toes is oddly swollen. It just seems to be the middle portion of her middle toe. She seems to be walking fine, it bends normally, and she doesn't freak out when I touch or put pressure on it (so I guess it doesn't hurt?) Her mood hasn't changed and...
Yeah, it is a bit hard to tell at this age. In an all-hen-flock, the most dominant hen would sometimes "crow" like a roo would. Does it sound similar to a rooster crow or is it more of a loud, elongated "brrrraaawwwk"? (cus one of my hens does that and it can get pretty annoying lol)
I could...
