I can post more pictures if needed. I am a first year chicken owner and want to make sure I take the best care possible of my girls. I did try and google it but there are so many different things that I thought I would ask fellow chicken lovers instead.
A few of our girls have some small dark spots on their combs but also their nostrils? Is it just dirt from there dirt baths? Or do we think it is something more serious?

Two have been fighting. No one is hurt but it did make me nervous for a second. I think I am going to just watch there behavior and make sure it doesn’t get two aggressive.
I have 8 girls and 5 nesting boxes but they all fight over one of them even if all the others are open. I have put fake eggs in some of the others in hopes they will want to use them but they still all prefer one over the rest. Any suggestions?
Just curious now that it’s been some time. Was your a rue or a pullet? I also have a SGE that I am unsure about that’s looks almost exactly like yours at 8 weeks.
