    We put our chicken eggs in cartons (5 - 1dozen cartons). Turn off the automatic turner and manually turned the cartons upside down the right side up. after 29 days we had hatched 52 barred rocks.

    How long do eggs last before they need to be put into and incubator?

    I have had eggs that were kept cool that were out for 7 days that hatched. My understanding is that the longer you wait the worse your hatch rate is.
