Any ideas on what might be the problem with my roosters comb?? He is the only rooster i have so rules out fighting and it is not cold in Arkansas right now so no frostbite. We just got him last Sunday and the guy i got him and the 2 hens from had to catch them with a fish net. Could it be...
Great! I had read somewhere about some had a poor auto sexing gene. Wasn't sure what those looked like and thought I might have had one. Thanks for the input.
About a week old. I either have 5 little roos and 1 pullet or 4 and 2. Could the one back left one be a pullet with poor auto sexing quality "light spot on head" or is that color normal?
I was wondering about the double cream too. Thanks for explaining that. I have 5 week old roos I will be growing out and will take all the advise I can on 2 "keepers".
Pics are loading today. These are the bonus chicks I got with the trio because he hatched all roos except 1. Going to mark them so I can see progress. Not sure which one came from which hen. One of the little roos looks like he may have some of the auto sexing problems I heard talked about...

I'll have to talk to him and see if he knows how close the relation is. Curious now about what would come from the crosses. Going to figure a good way to keep them marked and banded to watch the outcome.
Thanks for the info. I was worried the rooster was to light in color and it might be harder to breed out. So probably not anything that can't be worked on.
Hey everybody I'm still learning about Cream Legbars but I found a trio for $40 that is suppose to be Jill Rees blood line and wanted to some opinions on the color. Already laying light blue eggs and less than a year old.
