Will my teenage emus ever tame down?

Aw, man, sad that they probably won't get any more docile, but thank you for telling it straight! I'm working on a little "saferoom" in the coop, so we can heard them in there and they only have smooth walls, and not a lot of space to get a good run at anything so they can't hit it hard. While...

Will my teenage emus ever tame down?

Hi everyone! I have a couple emus that are about 5 months old now. They came from a big farm so they were raised by emu parents, not by hand. They were both very wild when we first got them, and I've gotten them to the point where they eat from my hands, but they are still very skittish of us...

Do you still have the chick? I'm in Harrison, AR, so I'd have to arrange a trip but I'm interested.

    ISO Emu

I've always considered the eggs as a backup plan- the thought of trying to hatch is so daunting after how nervous I get over hatching guineas and chickens! Good idea! Thanks for the lead- anything helps!

    ISO Emu

I've been researching emus for about two years now, and have started looking for them seriously for around two months now, with no luck. I would prefer chicks, but if you know of tame adults that can get along with sheep and cattle that will work as well. I live in Arkansas, I'm willing to drive...
