Nice birds. We decided to put incubated eggs under her. They should hatch in 3 days or so. She has food and h2o at hand. She is a blue laced red wyandott hatching wyandott, cemani and Guinea eggs. :)
I have a broody hen w no eggs to hatch. Can I give her a three day old Guinea to raise? Beginning week four of brooding. She's in an out of the way spot.
Get ready to laugh. I have a broody hen and no clue. She's in a hayrack and out of the way. Eggs (2) should be fertile. Does she need food and h2o at hand? I've never thought about broody birds we have a brinsea. I don't use this site so be patient if I don't respond.
Argh. I give up. After hatching a couple of batches of cemani eggs I conclude that there are no cemani hens. Just roos. Cemani eggs just spontaneously appear. I've raised ten roos (Or some very butch hens). Could this be an incubator temp issue? Like crocodilians temp of incubating eggs...
I read somewhere on this site about pure ayam cemanis having raspberry combs. And that the percentage of completely black birds is very small. I have an "expert" telling me that my birds are crossbred. (Black but dark raspberry combs). My experience with purebred animals of any sort is that...
So I closed a coop door leaving a gap and my 2-5 week old Guinea chicks got out only to be collected by their mom. We hatched w an incubator). They are following her and she has a strong interest in them. Should I recapture ?
(If I can lol)
