If you have IB's the temperature won't really be an issue, but they don't like to be in the wind. If you have Spauldings/green blood they don't tolerate the cold as well. So sleeping in the trees might be fine in the summer but without leaves to keep the wind off they may not like it as much...

Peachicks don't just start eating on their own. They have to learn how, from mom, older chicks, or if they are alone then from you.
