    I will have to double check the feed tomorrow morning. My other half bought it after telling the supplier what our "hens" were, age etc. This is absolutely gutting ! Will definitely get them checked asap. Thankyou

    Gosh really ?! We have had them 10 weeks . Think i may just take them to the vet for a health check. Thats greatly annoyed me if that is indeed true. He sold them to us as Black Rock Hens, females, "point of lay" and aged 18weeks and we have treated them accordingly to those facts. Scary. Just...

    Thankyou. Its been very frustrating in trying to identify them. The person who sold us them breeds lots of different ones so it does ring some sense that they are mixed but he sold us them as Black Rocks and we asked for females so im quite annoyed.     Ah ok. They definitely dont have yellow legs and the one with the red face just the other day "cock a doodle doo" d ! So we had a suspicion she was a he. They both have the same type and colour of feathers and look like the Black Watch Tartan but faces are different in colour. Thanks

    Thanjs for helping. They are 24 weeks old. Doubled in size from when we got them and have atarted what appears to be moulting. Looks like pin feathers ( maybe) on the one nearest camera.

    Hello. We have been hen owners for a grand 2 months and really enjoying it. Have been reading lots of things on here and got so much help I've decided to join. We have 2 Black Rock hens or so we were told but we are doubtful that is true. Nonetheless we love them
