    Bay Area BYCers!

Handsome boys you've got! I had good luck rehoming mine at Close Feed in Hayward. The owner doesn't always have cage space open, but when he does he's happy to help. Good luck!

Marans, olive/easter egger cockerels (for sale or swap)

I'm pleased to say that the rest of these good gentlemen have found homes! They went to the neighbor-around-the-corner of the young fellow who works at the feed store (which is surely some kind of cliche? 😅 ), so we can ask how they're doing when we shop. An excellent outcome!

Marans, olive/easter egger cockerels (for sale or swap)

I'm pleased to write that Earl Grey found a good home, courtesy of a gentleman at our local feed store! :) Catra, DW, and Hey-hey (who has confirmed his roo-status) are still available. They continue to be good gentle boys, and Catra is becoming so striking that I would keep him if I could get...

Marans, olive/easter egger cockerels (for sale or swap)

One more has turned out to be a boy for sure! I have my suspicions about the fellow in the background too, would love if anybody wants to weigh in. ;)

Hi folks, I'm hoping to rehome a couple lovely boys! These good gentlemen are from eggs from Piner Road Farm in Santa Rosa, and are from their black copper marans, olive egger & easter egger flocks. They were hatched (6/12/22) and reared by my broody hen, Twitter, and as such have excellent...

An intro from the Bay Area

Thank you both for the warm welcome! Twitter the broody was something to behold! FIERCE in her protectiveness and very caring. I loved her very particular 'chicks come look at this' call noise, but I had to take to wearing tall boots & gloves in the yard (check the eggs, fuss over the babies...

An intro from the Bay Area

Hi folks! I've been keeping chickens with my family for almost a decade. Currently our backyard flock numbers 11, featuring three wonderful old ladies: Twitter (leghorn), Fornite (easter egger) and Onyx (black australorp). Fortnite is our tamest darling: she's been handled constantly since...
