Our very first flock of Black Australorps, Rhode Island Reds, and 1 Buff Orpington laid their first eggs at 17.5 and 18 weeks old! I was sooo excited!
Our second flock (bator chicks of 1st flock) laid late around 23-24 weeks.
Our 3rd flock laid around 21 weeks which is about average.

I have several EE'S but only 2 stay long enough for a picture!
Meet Eleanor! She spends most of her time on my shoulders or walking beside me wherever I go. She loves to model for the camera lol! She's the sweetest thing ever!
This is Eleanor's buddy, Esther! She on the shy side but...
Thanks guys! I think we'll try and if it fails we'll just wait a few weeks and try again! Hopefully we'll have a good hatch rate like the first time!
They actually hatched about 12 hrs early on Christmas Eve then the rest Christmas Day and 10 more hatched New Year's Eve and Day! It was exciting...
Thank you! We incubated at a 100% success rate last Christmas but those hens were almost a year old. We have no clue what we'll get this time around because we have Black Australorps, Easter Eggers, Production Reds, a Gold Laced Wyandotte, a Buff Orpington and Light Brahma's! There is at least 1...

Has anyone else come across this odd problem? Will it correct itself later on or is it something...
It is crazy! I always try to get more than one picture if I can because sometimes even sunlight and no sunlight can make the difference. Thanks for your input. I will now just assume he is a Production Red!
This is one of my RIR Roos that we don't have anymore...he legs look more yellow rather than pinkish and he's definitely not as fluffy as my current roo.
Thank you! I knew EEs came in a variety of colors so I'm not surprised that most of these are EEs. I am, however, very surprised to hear that the dark roo is a Gold Laced Wyandotte...I would never have guessed that! Very interesting! I was supposed to have 2 or 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes but I...
