    Gaping in new chickens added to flock

    Has anyone witnessed new chickens gaping when first added to your flock? I noticed two of my existing chickens gaping (just here and there upon introduction) and now the others are gaping (and panting a bit). Any ideas?

    We have one rooster confirmed (via crowing today) I am concerned the other is as well. She is a white blue silkie and she is opening and closing her mouth on a reg basis (with no sound) Both have been doing the opening closing of mouth since babes but now....Im worried I have two roos
