I don’t have any of the bottom but there is no scab or cut on it. I can take one of the bottom later when I am home. I bought her amoxicillin to see if that could possibly help it. I don’t want to cut open her foot if there is no wound and create one if I don’t need to.
I have a pekin who seems to have bumblefoot for past few weeks. The only thing is that there is no scab or anything like you would typically see . Her toe is quite swollen and she has a bad limp. I have been soaking her foot as much as I can and have kept her inside to stop her from walking too...
See this mean they are more than likely males 😫? My male to female ratio already sucks (2 drakes 4 females). My two grey (or silver) runners are still peeping like babies, it’s not raspy sounding though. My magpie the same age has been quacking for about 2 weeks already. One does look to be...
So whomever told me that my turkeys were females bc they were squatting for me was correct. At least one is as I found a nest with two eggs. I am not sure if there are any more eggs anywhere it’s a big yard with a huge field behind it. What’s the odds that the one I know is a male actually...
This is the leghorn egg. I can’t get both yolks to float to the top like it was before but you can see the second yolk to the left in the pic. The brown egg I can’t get a good pic but I will take one in a few days when I can see more.
My eggs from my girls outside. Leghorns and ISA Browns and Easter Egger roosters. They have given me double yolkers before I just didn’t pay attention to the sizes I put in. I will get my husbands phone when he gets home.
And there are 10 heartbeats... two eggs seem to be double yolkers. I am going to keep track of development in the white egg the brown ones are harder to see into. Wish me luck 😬
I have 5 BBW turkeys and all of them are growing a black beard. 3 out of the 5 will squat when I come near them or they sill follow me and squat. I know it technically doesn’t matter what sex they are since they are bred for meat but is this normal behavior for a male? I tried to get some pics...
I do have one I noticed that is more tolerant of the little ones than the others . She just started laying but today she did spend most of the day in her favorite spot and she regulated one of the roosters who was dancing around the babies.
My Cornish crosses and EE chicks have been together...
They are 9 weeks old. We planned on processing a couple this week and the rest next weekend as they are all around the 8-10 pound range already. Thank you for your response
