    Thanks again for the info. Mine are kept in a coop with a tin roof and also has heat lamps, but they roost on the top post near the roof. Could they be getting to cold being next to that tin?

    I have 2 roosters that both had big dark red combs but now the tips on both are black and crusty looking. Could it be from them fighting. Any ideas? I haven't been doing this long so theres still alot i'm not sure on. Thanks so much

    My little hen lays at least 1 almost every day except the day before she lays the 2. Every one kept telling me i was crazy that they don't lay that soon so I put her alone and I was right. Can you imagine laying that much so soon?

    There not supposed to I've been told, but I have one that does. She lays 2 about once a week during the same day and I know it's her because she was the only brown egg layer.

    What is Merecks disease? Please It's both her eyes so I don't think it's from pecking. One is worse than the other.

    My hen was hatched from egg here along with 13 others. I fixed one large watering container for all of them. she can see she just has trouble, I checked by using movement of my hand. Could it be a cataract maybe? Thank you

    My hen is less than a year old and I noticed her eyes are smokey in the center of her pupil. She can see but I think she has touble. Does anyone know what it could be?
