    Post Phoenix Pics Please

Currently, the brr bantam rooster is in a pen with 3 hens, 2 intermediate crele phoenix bantams, and a standard oriental game. I can easily tell the oriental game eggs easily, and she's just there for company as she was a lone hen. I use to have many bbr, barred, and black phoenix bantams both...

    Newbie.. Chick hatches now what?

Never said it was impossible to do, just difficult since you're new at it. There are other concerns too like brooding the different age chicks too if you don't have other brooders available, but I wish you luck on your first hatch.

    Newbie.. Chick hatches now what?

My only issue is that you are new to incubating eggs and hatching them, and doing a stagger hatch is not something a newbie should do.

    My Handsome Rooster

Unfortunately for me, I always get roosters out of straight run or when I hatch myself.

    Newbie.. Chick hatches now what?

Middle ones are first to hatch? Are you doing a stagger hatching?

    Rooster

Best thing to do is have a behavior or object to deter him from being directly aggressive towards you. My sebright rooster, unfortunately he was dinner, was so aggressive, he would charge at anyone especially me when I raised my leg up. To him it simulated another rooster in an aggressive...

Just lost my 7 week old SQ sebright roo to a hawk today. Still have another roo, but that one has a single comb, although other than that, he looks better than the one I lost.

Moving chicks from hens for their own safety

I just lost my first chicken to a hawk today. My 7 week old SQ sebright cockerel. Let my flock free range for an hour beforehand. Came outside right after i heard commotion and saw it happened. Now my little bantam flock is too scared to go out in the open. I'm planning to get some plants...
