Looking to purchase a Sapphire Gem. I have seven ameraucanas and a delightful environment for hens. Lots of running around looking for grass and bugs and very safe coops at night. I had one about seven years ago and would love to have another.
I've never seen this. I use hemp shavings for bedding so it stays pretty dry but a couple of weeks ago we had monsoons and it was days before I could clean the coop good.
There are these lumps on the ends of my hens talons. I've read extensively about bumblefoot and it doesn't seem to be the issue. And it's not contagious and all the hens have them. It looks like mud has accumulated on them. Ideas??? They are eating and drinking and laying well. WEIRD
