Here are the 12-13 week old pics of the chick in question...She definitely has a different body shape than the RIR. Thoughts?? I call her Looney UNI...because she has a unicorn horn. LOL
Yeah, they are not having it...they keep running around chirping at me...like what the HAY is going on here. LOL
I'll buy some of the growth and provide a blend of the two. Thanks.
I have a 9 week old mixed flock. I live in Mexico and have a language barrier sometimes at the feed store.
Question: When do I move from growth feed to pellet feed? Is there a difference in the two? I bought them pellets this week and they're not too keen about it. Are they too young or do they...
I am a first-time CHI-Mom. My flock is a straight run, backyard mutt mix. LOL. The roos are starting to be detectable. At what age do they start being "machos"? Should I find them homes now or wait until they're an issue? Gracias :)
Yes, I know that but she's just a pullet and too young for laying. We shall see :)
So if she lays a pastel egg...I'll call her an EE. lol
If not, she's my pretty lil' BYM. BackYardMutt :)
I live in Mexico and get my eggs from a Rancher. He gave me (16) chicks when they were 1-2 weeks old. They don't necessarily "sex" chicks here or at least they (locals) look at me like I'm an alien if I ask about breed or sex of chick. LOL.
They say "ponadera or pelea"...egg layer or fighter.
8-10 weeks.
Sweet lil' thing has the cutest willow/green legs. I'm thinking a SHE...also, is this what you all consider an Easter Egger? One pic has her with a flock mate to show leg color difference. Thanks, CHAMILY. (CH-icken f-AMILY)
I'm so ECSTATIC to hear the pullet confirmations! When I started thinking of being a Chicken Mom a long while ago, I always wanted a BR Beauty! I'm over the moon. :) Thanks y'all! Muchas Gracias a todo!!
