Hen was a good layer and suddenly stopped?

Definitely no secret nest. She has one box that she lays in only and there are not many places she can hide a secret. She was an early layer - 16 weeks.

Hen was a good layer and suddenly stopped?

Also she is still acting off today. When she poops, there is a lot of what I would call egg white coming out. She has been eating and drinking a bit, so that makes me feel better. Red comb and wattles still. I just don't know if I should worry about her still acting off or chalk it up to the...

Hen was a good layer and suddenly stopped?

She started laying at 16 weeks, which seemed early to me. Today, she was not acting normally - just standing around, not coming when I went out. We decided to bring her into the garage to isolate and keep an eye on her. That's when we noticed she was not eating or drinking and laying down a...

Hen was a good layer and suddenly stopped?

Yes, and she seems perfectly happy and healthy, she's been eating well ans playing with the flock like normal so I don't think she's sick or anything

Hen was a good layer and suddenly stopped?

Hello! So I have a 23 week old hen (she is a smokey pearl) and she was a really good layer, she would lay for me every day. For the last week and a half she hasn't laid any eggs at all. The weather has been cooler here so I don't think it would be the heat, and she's too young to molt, as this...

    Hen bullying?

Hey y'all. So I have 3 chickens, they're all the same age, 10 months old, and this is their first winter. One of the girlies has been acting scared of the other ones and just skittish in general, when she used to be layed back and calm. She's missing a noticeable amount of hackle feathers on...

Introducing new hen to flock of 3

Hey y'all. I have 3 hens, and I used to have 1 rooster but had to get rid of him. I would now like to add 1 hen to my existing flock. Before I really start looking into trying it, -is it possible to do without them causing problems and/or hurting each other? -if so, what age of a hen should i...

Automatic coop door, yay or nay?

What do you mean? Become complacent how? Is there a certain reason you are against them, or just personal preference?

Automatic coop door, yay or nay?

Exactly what I was thinking! What kind did you get, and was it easy to install? Does it run off of electricity or batteries? And also, when it opens and closes, does it scare your chickens, or have any ever been locked out?
