Any hope for a pullet? Barnyard mix 11-12 weeks

I went on vacation and seem to have come home to a roo. His comb and wattle are definitely more red and look at those saddle feathers! The black pullet is his hatch mate.

    Bare butt

Any tips for checking for mites? I don't see any creepy crawlies on her, nor did I see anything in the coop when I checked (both during the day and at night when they were on the roost). But I know they can be hard to see! These are my first chickens so I don't have experience with things going...

    Bare butt

They get layer crumble, plus some of the grower feed they sneak that's meant for the younger ones. I'll check the protein percentage in the two feeds. I imagine the grower feed might be ok if she's going through her first molt. My other two buffs went broody over the summer so maybe that throws...

I think so? Maybe fewer than usual lately, but it's hard for me to tell.

    Olive Egger Pullet? 13 weeks

I'm glad he found a happy home! He looks a lot like my own ambiguous 11/12 weeker, but your original photos showed a much bigger and redder comb than mine has. It's so hard to just wait and see!!

    Bare butt

None of the other chickens are missing feathers. She's not lowest in the pecking order, and doesn't act bothered by it. I don't...

Any hope for a pullet? Barnyard mix 11-12 weeks

Multiple roosters, so I'm not sure. The comb and wattle developed early so I was 99% sure cockerel, but there's been no further development for a few weeks. I had some chicks hatch four weeks after this one, and those cockerels had combs that grew faster and even a little bigger than this...

Any hope for a pullet? Barnyard mix 11-12 weeks

Seems like a barred rock mix of some sort, but probably not 100%. He/she is a Barnyard mix my buddy gave to me as an egg when I had a hen go broody and wanted to see her try to hatch her own babies!
