    We got some of the medicated poultry spray and some preparation h and kept her separated for about 3 days. Once it looked like the swelling was down and she could lay down again, we cleaned her up and put her back with everyone else.

    She's doing great! She got a little behind growth wisely, but now she's just about caught up to everyone else again. :)

    It doesn't look as inflamed as the pictures I've seen of a prolapsed vent, but it is sticking out pretty far, so I'm guessing that is what it is. She is still pooping, so I'm assuming she's eating but I haven't seen her eat. She spends a lot more time under the brooder than the rest of them...

    New chicken mom. Is this just pasty butt? I'm hoping it isn't a prolapsed vent. She is pooping but she gets all wet and is dirty again within 10 minutes of me cleaning her up.
