The butchering went smoothly and the chickens were not stressed. Used a killing cone and chickens were not struggling at all. I think they were 5 months old.
We processed our Brahmas chickens and roosters. They are very tough. Riga mortis is extreme. We did soak the processed chickens in cold water for hours and left in the fridge for 3 days before freezing. Would appreciate more experienced advise on what we did wrong.
