I said earlier in the thread they are a dom gamefowl project, 5 generations in . Almost all babies did grow out with dom feathering. The one that didn't probably wasn't her egg if I had to guess, it is currently much smaller than the rest and solid black.

I've not bought new chickens in yearssss. I buy feed only in winter and still i use very sparingly. I have no coop. I have more eggs than I could ever use, nearly free of cost. Just depends on the route you take.
I had one of my broody girls hatch hers today! I was 2 and a half weeks off on her hatch date lol I had no idea she was broody until last Sunday 😅 9 chicks!
I bet they are cool little birds, definitely my style. I had miniature gamefowl for awhile and those were my favorite birds. My birds now are a mix of miniature American gamefowl and a bunch of different kinds of gamefowl. I like the smaller size but big attitude lol they survive really well...
