    I don't interfere with my hens at all. I don't switch out eggs etc. I do candle eggs and take some out if they aren't developing. None of mine go broody this late in the year, it's been nice enough.

    Right now I'm at culling for comb as well,I have one straight combed rooster on the chopping block. I stood looking at them all for 15 minutes trying to figure out a difference other than color and comb was it. Color is the only real difference now.

    Ty. I purchased land in my early 20s with a dream when land was inexpensive and I had a good back. I'm glad I did it then because I couldn't afford it now. Made a little slice if heaven for me, my wife, and our toddlers. Just a few more things I need to build and I can relax
