I am a working professional in SLC, Utah. I moved here from Washington State back in 2016, partially for the climate and partially for the geology.
I am a hobby paleontologist, working in the field, lab and gallery at the local natural history museum in my spare time, participating in scientific research and seminars for the greater advancement of paleontology. My favorite dinosaur is the akainacephalus johnsoni.
My love of dinosaurs is also the reason why I got back into chicken rearing - they are basically little dinosaurs. I grew up rurally and I really missed the prospect of farm fresh eggs and little manure machines living in the back yard. My chickens are one of the reasons I get up in the morning.
My long term goal is 75% self sufficiency.

- Why do you want to join our community?
- I grew up on a farm but didn't pay attention to the greater intricacies of chicken rearing back then. I'm now raising a flock of 6 hens in the greater Salt Lake Valley - different environment and different climate. My reason for being here is to learn from the brilliant training of the fine community here. Also fluffy butts. I love them.
