I've already tossed the livers out. I did frequently offer safflower seeds as a treat as well as other treat mixes.. I suspect my birds are getting way too much fat in their diet
I just butchered out 3 adult hens (approx. 1 y/o) and all three had flimsy/crumbly livers of the same yellow/tan color.
Is this very unusual or something to be concerned with? I've only seen bright red livers in previous flocks.
Ordered from them this year for the first time. Received 3 dark cornish, 2 turkens, 1 free rare breed(polish), 10 pioneer.

Mine were all shy little butt holes when they were younger. I did handle them some but not too much. Now that they are all maturing they have become much nicer and most of those hens, despite being a lady, think I'd make quite a dashing rooster....
