Update: both chickens have now passed away, one naturally and one had to be put down. We still don't know what caused it and are curious to find out to prevent it from happening again.
About a month ago, I posted about a chick that suddenly could not walk and flopped around. Some helpful folks and research convinced us that is was vitamin deficiency. However after giving it polyvisol (w/o iron) and vitamin E with selenium, it hasn't really improved. It actually has begun to go...

May I ask what happened that you had to put her down? Was there no change in condition or did it get worse? I currently have a 4 week old chick that suddenly can't walk.
Thanks! I should add that her head no longer is displaying wry neck symptoms, but she still can't walk. :( we give her half a dropper (5 milliliters) and we put the same amount in her water. We have put her in a sling to help her out, as well.
The chick seems to be getting better after we upped its dosage of vitamins, we were afraid to give it too much before. We are going to try to make it a type of sling so it doesn't have to lay on its side. The only thing that worries me is that sometimes it appears to have trouble getting down...
The chick does not seem to be getting any better, it flops around a lot more. It also leans it's head to the left quite a bit, even when drinking. It's worth noting that it seems to act as if its choking after it eats (though its not), and takes long pauses between each drink of water. We have...
