    That's awful!! I'd say keep that puppy away from chickens in the future. Some dogs never learn to behave around chickens. If you want, you could get a training collar for the dog and try to teach her not to attack chickens that way.

    I would go to TSC as soon as you can and get some more. My chicks have a 2 week difference and are fine. Good luck with your chick!

    I always use pine shavings. They work well, but they always get in the food/water. I’ve never tried any thing else.
