As you can see, it collects a lot of dirt. I’m thinking it might be the oil gland, but I wanted to come on here and make sure it’s nothing serious.

Just had a week of 10-15 degree weather with ice storm here in Texas! Yesterday was a melting muddy mess and I got hit by an icicle falling out of a tree. Today is bright and beautiful, we’re finally back in 30-50 degree weather.
Same happened to me! I was so worried that some kind of disease was spreading through our flock - turns out it was the red cabbage I let them peck at all day. :p
