My hen has a weird lump on her mid/lower back
As you can see, it collects a lot of dirt. I’m thinking it might be the oil gland, but I wanted to come on here and make sure it’s nothing serious. …Ew! Is that a bug on it?- balkflock

Can I feed my hens cat treats/food?

I mix Bryant Grain’s lay pellets, cracked corn, oats, and black oil sunflower seeds into a bucket where I ferment the feed. What's the temperature where you are???
Just had a week of 10-15 degree weather with ice storm here in Texas! Yesterday was a melting muddy mess and I got hit by an icicle falling out of a tree. Today is bright and beautiful, we’re finally back in 30-50 degree weather.- balkflock
