    Thank you. She really was a sweet girl. After 3.5 years I still feel new at this and didn't realize how hard my first hen loss would be. They are like family.

    Thank you. I looked up the necropsy information and I am tempted to do it, but it looks like they charge $90... which I would gladly pay in a heartbeat if it would bring her back, but it might be more than I can afford for an just an answer. Struggling with the decision.

    I did notice her pulse seemed faster this morning than yesterday. I just looked up average chicken resting heart rate and found 250–300. I am almost positive her heart was not beating that fast yesterday... it felt closer to a human heart rate. I had no idea it was supposed to be so much faster...
