    I rescued this hen from an animal shelter today. Just confirming what breed she is. I think some kind of Game Hen? Anyone know? If so, I’m pretty unfamiliar with the breed, so I just need to know what to research! She is small, the shelter thought she was about 5 months old.

    Clover is 20 weeks old and the nicest rooster ever. He recently lost his tail feathers to a dog attack so he’s convalescing inside, and today he just hung out with me for like 45 minutes. I know there’s still a chance he could turn mean but so far he’s just a sweetie!

    Okay new development. I offered him water in a little cup and he is drinking quite a bit, but I’m noticing that a lot of the water is just dripping back out from his beak. I’m wondering if he is literally unable to lift his head up to let the water go down.
