    I have a Buff Orp hen about 5yrs not well. Her vent is a "mess" and she isn't able to walk. Is there anything I can do about this. Not sure how long this has been going on. Just noticed her behaving this way today. She feels very thin as I can easily feel her breast bone. help!

    I have 4 Buff Orpingtons that are just starting to lay...but the eggs are very very small. Are they going to get bigger as the hens get older. I had some BOs before and don't remember their eggs being small. Help!!!

    Nail polish is a great idea for the zip ties and now day polish comes in every color under the rainbow! I could always just paint the chickens nails/toes with the polish and forgo the zip ties!!! Maybe not!! Thanks for the tip!

    The zip ties sound like the plan and if I can't find colored ones ...permanant markers might just work for colors!. I saw somewhere to use velcro, although the chickens may peck them off of each other. Will difinately give them both a try since I only need a few.
