Ok cool thanks. I was reading the articles and they were saying unless the chickens come from a hatchery but didn't say what to do differently if they did. We are getting somenough australorps and silver laced Wyandottes. 8 in total and they are all 5 or 6 weeks old already. How long should...
Hello I currently have 9 Rhode Island red hens and one rooster. Me and my fiancé are looking to phase out some of the reds and replace with a different breed of chicken. I really would like to get some black australorps as I really have fallen in love with them sense we first got chickens...
another question is well treating with corid can you eat the eggs of the chickens? or should they be discarded? if discarded how long after treatment can you start eating the eggs again? As far as the coop should it be cleaned after treatment has been stopped or before you start treatment?

May of found a solution to our problem :) although might mean I need to buy a new mounting block for me and the horses lol but the rooster has gone in the coop with it once without us having to pick him up and throw him in which is one more time then usual :)
The birds aren't new to us we have had them sense right after they were hatched. I'll try the concrete block and see if that helps thanks. And we have put a bunch of roosts out in the run just not by the door might try that and thanks Mrs k the board on cement blocks is a good idea never...
