    Now our crochin banny hen just lays her eggs all over the place. We had to start being careful where we walk in the coop cause she layed one egg friday in the middle of the path to walk in. She still won't sit on any of them. Should we collect them and put them together in one spot. I don't...

    She is a banny hen. Do you think that we need to get older hens that know what they are doing so she can watch them. Or maybe a different kind of breed.

    Thanks so much for the reply. It does help alot. This Saturday we are going to get a few more older hens to see if that maybe her problem is she doen't know what to do yet. Should I get a different Kind of sitting hen or the same kind. Is it ok to mix different breeds.

    We have a rooster, and he does his job alot. Maybe that's the problem. He does it to much and she's tried. This Saturday we are going to get two more older hens and see if that is the problem.

    This is our first hen and we finially found her first eggs on Easter. Well she won't sit on them and since then she has layed more and won't sit on any of them. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Maybe we should get some older hens to show her what to do. If any ideas please.

    I have a couple of questions. My banny hen layed her first set of 2 eggs we found on Easter. Now as far as I know we haven't touched them or moved them but she won't sit on them. Is this first time hen jitters. Should I buy more hens to show her what to do? Any Ideas?
