I have a recipe for waterglassing that calls for adding non-iodized salt and one that does not. Thoughts? Why add salt? Why not add salt?

Thank you. That helps. Sometimes the eggs feel a little cold when I bring them in because the weather outside is cool. But it sounds like as long as I let the condensation dry without rubbing them I can go ahead and put them in to glass them.

Can you glass eggs that have been refrigerated? How fresh do eggs have to be to glass them?

My directions say 1 oz of lime per 1 qt of water. But it doesn't say 1 ounce by weight or by measuring spoon. How do I know which it is, please?

What if eggs are cold outside and brought into a warm house where condensation forms? Is that a form of "washing" if I don't rub it, but just let them dry?

That is interesting. I will get a speckled egg every once in awhile, but the other eggs layed at the same time look smooth and clear.

I finally got 6 eggs from 6 hens for the first time ever...2 days in a row! Today, I only got 3 eggs. I've been averaging 4-5 eggs a day.
