Yes this sand doesn't seem dusty at all. It's dense . I just worry about their feet or if they are chemicals added or something. And the folks at the nursery of course think I'm crazy!! Haha

Thank you! She did seem kind of normal later this afternoon. Not as quick as she normally but she was hanging with her two sisters and came to get some treats. I been watching her like a hawk! Haha

Good to know others have seen this happen. (Not that I am happy it happens to other chickens because that's sad, just happy we aren't alone and you all have experience). I don't even care to get eggs from this poor hen, I just don't want to her hurting in any way. These hens are more like pets...

It's interesting because she doesn't seem to take to the oyster shells like the other two. So maybe it is a deficiency. Vet appointment is set for tomorrow at 2pm! 🤞
