That's what is making it confusing for me because our chickens and ducks are just starting to lay so I'm not 100% sure. LOL. Thanks for the tip. I hadn't noticed that. I will check next time I collect eggs.
That's what I was thinking too. It was smaller compared to the pekin's eggs. Have some smaller blue/green eggs and I'm trying to decide if it was from the ducks or the chickens. It was in the same area as my other duck goes to lay eggs and not in the coop area where the chickens go.
They are 10 weeks old and were bought from a Tractor Supply store that did have Swedish Blue Ducks at the time mixed in with some blacks. Also, one has orange feet and orange under the bill, the other black. Is that a good way to determine sex at this age?
