I have a flock of 3 year old hens. BCM and EE.
My lavender EE lays green eggs.
The only one in the flock who has this color.
I'm fairly certain every one is laying again after the winter break. But I cannot find the green eggs. I have searched the yard (they are fenced into 1/4 acre) but...
I've got 9, EE and BCMs. I know one of the egg eaters. The one that started it last year. I should have cooked her but I was weak.
My guess is about 3-4 of my marans are eating them.
There are all 3 years old this May.
I've got egg eaters. Second season of this behavior. I got roll away boxes, which they only use if there are sufficient wood chips, which then prevent the eggs rolling down. :he
My husband is in favor of culling, but they are only 3 years old.
Thoughts?
