WINNER ANNOUNCED Comb Contest 2014 - Carnation

I'm confused as to the definition of some of the comb names. This is supposed to be pics of Carnation combs, whatever those really look like. Anyway, Cloudychickens pic looks like a single comb to me! Can you post a better photo of what a Carnation comb looks like? Thanks!

I hope none of mine have no pants tomorrow! LOL! That is so funny! I have 14 hens and one rooster but they are only about 7 months old...they won't molt this year, will they ? They've been laying about 2 months. The roosters molt too ? Thanks!

Our girls won't eat layer pellets and act like they are starving all the time

I think Jack might mean that some crumbles contain medication, right, Jack? I fed mine medicated crumbles to prevent diseases when they were young but switched to non-medicated layer pellets-I think at about 16 weeks, as recommended from my research. BUT...it is also recommended to gradually...

    Chicken making crying sound.

This is my first time with hens and we have 4 breeds. Started getting eggs at almost 5 months. Ours are 6-1/2 months and I think all are laying now. We have 14 hens and one rooster and get 10-14 eggs per day! Good luck... Post a pic of your "girl" if you can!
