No swelling just super lethargic, she’s fine now that the heat lamp is back on
Edit: it seems whatever she was fighting got the better of her as sadly she just died☹️thank you for your help tho 🙂
I’m feeding her a quail chick crumb (27% protein)
And the temperature is about 15 degrees centigrade (59 degrees Fahrenheit) at the lowest.

So I hatched out 6 button quail in April… they’re 1 month old now and 5 of them are outside, doing great but 1 was super lethargic so I kept her inside. On the day I moved the others outside I found her half dead so put her under a heat lamp, she seemed fine after a day so I turned the lamp back...
two of my button quail chicks JUST hatched… they are well overdue so I helped both hatch, I saved them from my adult quail as they’d abandoned their nest a few days before hatch date and the eggs went cold😬anyway they both have a dark lump where their “umbilical cord” was I haven’t noticed it...
Yea I don’t think you’ll have any luck with the hen, she may be rejecting/ killing the chicks as birds kill offspring that seem deformed or weak and quail are obvs small. As for a heating idea… odd one IK but maybe try making a kind of pouch to strap onto you 🤷♀️ to keep them warm and then let...
